Bill, I would say Scripture DOES have commandments to care for one another. I think many times we look at one specific Scripture without realizing we need to look at Scripture in light of Scripture while in an innerant way. Doesn't Scripture say "Love your neighbor as yourself."?

Great test! I scored 49 - conservative. I try to be soft with my judgments, but in some things I cannot compromise. For example, Shabbat and homosexuality. Extremely different things, but I think we CAN work on Shabbat, but cannot be or accept homosexuality. Still, I am sorry for those people who are involved in it, because they miss the will of God for procreation. I know, it is all controversial, but so thought provoking!

I think the quiz is indeed a "fodder" as the author has clearly stated in his article. Whether poorly designed or not, I think the author has proven his point that people approach the Bible from different perspectives. Anyways, my suggestion for improvement would be to just present the scripture (e.g. 2 Tim 2:9ff) and let the reader decide the interpretation. From there, McKnight can then systemize the responses.
