I agree with Mike Daniel, several of the questions force a person to a position that it seems is not Biblical. Why do Christians worship on Sunday? Not the Sabbath question but the resurrection question. The letter in Acts 15 wasn't about Jewish Christians, but about Gentiles that have become proselytes in the synagogues. Clearly good hermeneutics requires looking at textual, cultural, and historical context. Finally, it seems that good hermeneutics requires the assumption that God spoke, clearly, simply and with one voice.

Great survey and provides an excellent basis for conversation with others. The findings from Scot's article were interesting and I would agree with them based on the conversations I have had with many people in my church body. I am hoping to use this tool with several people on my ministry teams because this is a conversation we need to be having right now. Thanks Scot for the tool!

The problem with becoming the arbiters of what the Bible is saying is that 'we' become right which makes everyone else wrong. However, if we don't have principles in line, every person does what is right in their own eyes. Oh dear, once again, we have to fall back on the grace of God to work it out.
