I was disappointed. The questions seemed superficial and forced me to pick from three general choices only allowing me to lean toward the left or the right. Often none of the choices fit. The Gospel, repentance and salvation were left out in favor of focusing instead on tattoos etc. I believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity and in the survey was reduced to a role of usefulness. Surveys are very difficult to write but I'm not sure that this one led us, as believers, to focus more thoughtfully on how our faith defines us. Rather it left me thinking about controversial issues.

I scored 53 (moderate), and while I struggled over some of the answers, I believe that overall, the test was really good. The key for me is the socio-historical context - From several of the introductions to Paul's letters we can see that some women were clearly leaders within the early church, yet in his first letter to the Corinthians, we see that some women were apparently disrupting the services. I've found that without taking the context into consideration, there appear to be inconsisencies and contradictions in the Bible. (e.g. stoning for adultery vs. showing grace).

'Progressive'? Rather close to apostasy...
